We didn't catch much on our expedition - just a couple of little perch - one of which swallowed the hook. I wasn't expecting to have any fatalities... but Frank told me that it was all part of fishing :(
I learned a very important lesson from Frank that day... I learned that "fishing is about a jerk on one end waiting for a jerk on the other."
A little perch.
A clear, beautiful warm sunny day in Buffalo, NY...
Some REAL fishermen...
We weren't the only ones fishing :)
After a while we got tired of the drizzle and wind and packed up and headed over to Tifft across the road where it was a bit calmer weather. I disappeared to go look at some wildlife while Robert and Frank tried their luck there. I think they only caught one little sunfish or something of that sort.
In the meantime, I got to see some birds, some deer and some Aflac employees.
It turned out to be a great day, but Frank had to pack up, so we left to drop him off at home and then Robert and I headed out to Reinstein Woods where the fun continued.
We saw some skippers..
A group of young bucks..
The lily pond covered in lilies.
A green heron..
And many other things including a Great Blue Heron, a couple of beavers and snakes, and various birds.
Up Next: Charlie's Canoe Adventure :)
